Giving Back Enterprises held a recognition event entitled “Adult Literacy Achievement and Excellence” at the Detroit Athletic Club hosted by the Detroit Rotary Club to celebrate 20 adults attending Pro-Literacy Detroit and their families.  With support from Comerica Bank and the Black Women Lawyers Foundation of Michigan, Giving Back Enterprises and Pro-Literacy Detroit joined with The Detroit Lions to celebrate adult learners who made academic achievements in Basic Skills and Reading to obtain/retain employment or pursue advanced education. 

Presenting achievement awards to the 20 adult learners were three members of the Detroit Lions:

1) Don Carey, Detroit Lions Defensive Back,

2) Andre Fluellen, Detroit Lions Defensive Tackle, and

3) Ross Weaver, Detroit Lions Defensive Back.

Giving Back Enterprises, CEO, Saundra Howard-McGee, also presented certificates of appreciation to Don Carey, Andre Fluellen, and Ross Weaver for participating in the event, “Adult Literacy Achievement and Excellence”.  Saundra Howard-McGee also presented certificates of appreciation to the Detroit Lions staff:  Kim Doverspike, Chad Walker, and Galen Duncan for supporting the event “Adult Literacy Achievement and Excellence”.
